Squares Crumb Cookies

Ingredients


3 White Blue Ribbon Squares, separated
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chocolate chips, or chopped chocolate of your choice

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Toast the squares lightly either in a toaster or in the oven and then use a food processor or blender to cut into crumbs. Add in the flour, salt and baking powder.
3. In another large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars, using an electric beater.

7. Add in the flour, salt and baking powder.
8. In another large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars, using an electric beater.
9. Add in the egg and vanilla.
10. Add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
11. Drop cookies (about a tablespoon each) onto a prepared baking tray.
12. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
