Chicken liver paté toasted Sandwich Squares

Spread a rich and decadent chicken liver pate on Blue Ribbon Sandwich Squares as a perfect starter for dinner or special occasions. Nicest served while still warm.

4 – 6 Blue Ribbon Brown Sandwich Squares
300g chicken liver paté
Pickled red onions
45ml red wine vinegar
10ml sugar
1 small red onion, peeled
3 radishes, sliced
A few micro herbs or herbs
Caramelised nuts, optional
Milled black pepper, to taste


  1. Open the Sandwich Squares and lightly toast each half.
  2. Serve the toasted Sandwich Squares warm or at room temperature, topped with chicken liver paté, pickled red onions, radishes, micro herbs and some caramelised nuts if desired.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the red wine vinegar and sugar together. Thinly slice the onion and toss in the vinegar mixture. Allow to stand for 15 minutes. Drain the onions before using.
